The primary campus is located in Antigua and Barbuda and our clinical campuses are located in USA, UK, and the Caribbean. The Antigua campus is 4-storied building with space for university dorms. The campus is air-conditioned, provides free Wi-Fi, and 24-hour security. Antigua campus has an Anatomy lab with cadavers, online virtual dissection lab, Microbiology lab, Biochemistry lab, and a clinical skills simulation lab. Student life at MUCM provides a holistic experience allowing for personal growth and development, building friendships, and cultivating the habit of life-long self-learning, all of which aim to create ethical and compassionate physicians. Our US clinical sites are located in Chicago (Illinois), Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey. New clinical training sites are added. Depending on the level of education of the students, Metropolitan University College of Medicine Antigua offers a 4-Year and a 5-Year Program for MD in Antigua and Barbuda. The program is an undergraduate program and is equivalent to MBBS. The syllabus of MD Program is based on US medical curriculum and follows the standard of MD in America. 1-Year Pre-Medical Program introduces students to the basics of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, as applicable to medical sciences as well as to the basic sciences like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology, and medical terminology.
In 2-Year Basic Sciences Program, students get to the next level of medical sciences and imbibe clinically integrated problem-based learning, conduct their research and experiments in laboratories, and prepare themselves for the clinical rotations.
In 2-Year Clinical Rotations Program, students get an exclusive opportunity to get hands-on clinical training in University-affiliated hospitals and clinics, observe fellow doctors and medical practitioners and treat patients under expert guidance.
